Toxic Confessions is an 18+ anonymous confession network. You post as a phantom — no name, no face, no trace. Text confessions stay anonymous, and video confessions get face blur and voice change applied on your device before anything leaves your phone.

Anonymity here is something we protect, and these are the rules that let us keep protecting it. Break them and you lose it — content comes down and accounts get banned. They're short, so read them once.

The five house rules

These are the same rules you agree to on the House rules screen in the app.

  1. No real identities. Never post identifying details — yours or anyone else's. No real names, addresses, license plates, or recognizable faces. Identifying content is auto-detected and removed.
  2. No threats, no violence. Confessions can be dark; they cannot be threats. Credible threats are acted on, and we contact the authorities when lives are at risk.
  3. No exploitation. Anything sexual involving minors is reported instantly. No exceptions. See our Child Safety Standards.
  4. Honesty over shock. Lying for engagement gets you shadowbanned. Genuine confession is what this place is for, and it's what gets rewarded.
  5. Zero tolerance. Objectionable content and abusive users are removed and banned. Reports are acted on within 24 hours.

We don't warn objectionable content or abusive users into compliance. Content that crosses the line is removed, and the accounts behind it are banned. Every report is reviewed and acted on within 24 hours.

What else gets removed

Beyond the house rules, the following are not allowed and will be taken down:

  • Spam — repetitive posts, scams, bots, and engagement bait.
  • Sexual content involving minors — prohibited without exception and reported instantly to the authorities.
  • Harassment and dogpiling — targeting a person or coordinating pile-ons.
  • Facilitating illegal activity — using confessions to organize, sell, or direct people to it.
  • Encouraging self-harm. If you're struggling, you're not alone — in the US you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time.

Reporting and blocking

Every post and every reply has a Report action. Tap it, pick a categorized reason, and it goes straight to our moderation team. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours — you don't need to explain yourself or follow up.

Every post and reply also has a Block action. Block anyone and you stop seeing them and they stop seeing you. Blocking is instant and doesn't tip the other person off.

Consequences

Enforcement climbs a ladder, and how far up you land depends on what you did:

  • Content removal — the offending post or reply comes down.
  • Shadowban — repeat or bad-faith behavior gets your reach quietly cut.
  • Permanent ban — serious or repeated violations end the account for good.

Ban evasion won't get you back in — make a new account to dodge a ban and that account gets banned too.

Appeals

If you think we got it wrong, tell us. Email support@toxicconfessions.com and a human will review it. Include what was removed and why you think it shouldn't have been.
